Frequently Asked Questions

August 20, 2018

Who are you?
Just two big ol' nerds, you know? Read more about us and our gaming backgrounds on our About Us page.

How did this podcast get started?
Wade was looking for a way to share his love of classic games with his friends. He decided that playing through and discussing them with a friend would be a great way to spark conversation and inspire people to try out classic games. Kaiya signed on when she realized that this would be the perfect opportunity to patch the gaps in her knowledge of the classics, as well as unleash her inner literary critic.

What can I expect from a typical episode?
In our standard episodes, we will usually spend the majority of the episode discussing our playthrough of a section of the game. After the gameplay, we discuss our interpretations and impressions of the section we just covered. Our special end-of-game retrospectives follow a more casual discussion format.

When do you update?
New episodes are published every other Sunday.

Does the audio quality ever get better?
Yes! The audio and production quality both improve starting around episodes 4-6.

What kind of equipment and software do you use to record and edit?
We use Audacity to record and edit our audio tracks. Wade records using a Razer Kraken 7.1 headset. Kaiya recorded episodes 1-3 with a HyperX Cloud headset, and episode 4 onwards using a Blue Snowball iCE.

I have another question that’s not covered here.
